Karen Willard and Ruth Willard are well established now with The Master Genealogist as the primary software in use for the WFA computerized archives. Karen has begun the long long process of putting all the paper archives into this database. Over the last decade the computer has become a valuable tool in the WFA. It was first used to provide printer-ready copy for the Henry-2 Willard Supplement, and the mailing labels for the newsletters ( still maintained by Jim Willard of Colorado). A computer is the primary tool for the Willard web site. This one feature alone has generated numerous queries to the WFA historians and quite a few new WFA members. The latest use is to get all our genealogy information into one master database. Even though the process of putting the paper archives (all those numberless family group sheets provided over the years, plus newspaper clippings and other odds and ends) into the database is in early days yet, already at least one new relationship has been found between new information and old information that greatly gladdened the heart of a Willard cousin. Contact Karen (hallock@aa.net) for how to share your genealogy software data and/or updates with WFA.
