COMMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT
DUES NOTICE
When we sent your Willard News in May of 1999, we notified each of you that members who have not paid their annual dues would be dropped from our mailing list. If you are not a Life Member your dues must be paid by March 1, 2000, in order to remain on our mailing list and continue to receive our Willard News including the Spring 2000 letter.
Stay with us in the next millennium. Pay your dues by March 1, 2000 and continue to be a proud member of the Willard Family Association of America, Inc. ¦
ESTATE PLANNING
Does your estate planning include doing something for the Willard Family Assoc-iation of America, Inc.? Especially something for our Housing Fund?
At our last Board Meeting, held on October 23, 1999, we all agreed, especially our Historian Ruth and Assistant Historian Bill, that sometime soon we will need a permanent home for the Willard Family Association Library. Ruth at her home in Wethersfield, CT., and Bill at his home in South Windham, CT., have very little space left to store what continues to come in as well as all the WFA material which each of them has accumulated over many years.
Years ago your WFA Board knew that some day we would need a permanent house. That's why today we have a Housing Fund. Now we must carry on for those who had this vision. Our Board planning will start with a Building Committee to work toward our having a permanent home. Hopefully, your planning will include your support of this goal as well.
One of the chief purposes of the Willard Family Assoc-iation is to pursue gen-ealogical research and to maintain archival storage of Willard family records and related material.
More on this later.
