Alexander H Willard Park

On July 15, 2006 the Elk Grove Commuity Park District dedicated a new park named
the Alexander H Willard Park in honor of the Lewis & Clark Expedition
member who settled in what is today Franklin, California on
the Sacramento River delta below Sacramento. (Alexander was born on the Willard farm in Charlestown, NH in the Henry-2 lineage.
He was an artificer in an artillery unit on the frontier in Illinois Territory when
transfered to the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery.)

The park board passed the following resolution (2.09 mb) and presented a plaque (2.05 mb) to the family.
